Who needs to report?
New ESG reporting requirements were introduced in 2024, surprising many Norwegian businesses. In the coming years, these requirements will also apply to smaller companies. If you, your investor, tenant, or bank meet the criteria below, you will need to provide a sustainability report.
2025
Large enterprises that have:
At least 500 employees
At least 580 million in sales revenue
At least 250 million in balance sheet total
2026
Large enterprises, both publicly listed and others that meet at least two of three criteria:
At least 250 employees
At least 580 MNOK in sales revenue
At least 290 MNOK in balance sheet total
2027
Publicly listed small and medium-sized enterprises that meet at least two of three criteria:
At least 10 employees
At least 10 MNOK in sales revenue
At least 5 MNOK in balance sheet total
